The most important page on your website

As an e-commerce site you might say the
most important page on your website is a product page. After all without a product page you can’t make sales. Right? Well, I beg to differ. When customers are looking
for a product on your website they’re also looking to make sure that when they
place an order with you they’re actually going to receive the product that
they’ve ordered. They’re gonna do some research, look for recommendations but
most importantly they’re gonna look for a company that they can trust and after
spending a very short amount of time on your website if they feel like they’re
gonna get ripped off they’re going to leave. Customers want to know that if
they need to get a hold of you they can There is nothing worse than paying money
into a black hole. One easy way to do that with your Shopify or Squarespace
site is to add a contact page. Customers want to know that your business is
legitimate so if they need to get a hold of you, they can. They don’t want to spend
their money and it’s gonna go into a black hole and they’re never gonna
receive anything from you. So one easy way to solve that problem is to add a
contact page on your Shopify or Squarespace site. Having a Contact Us
page is one really easy way to build trust on your Shopify or Squarespace
site. But don’t just have a contact form. That forces them to sit and wait for you
to contact them. Have a method where they can contact you right away. Maybe that’s
an email address or phone number or if you have a brick-and-mortar store a
place where they can come and talk to you face-to-face. Okay okay. I hear you. Many of you who do ecommerce don’t also have a brick-and-mortar store so you
don’t really want to be putting your home address or you’re afraid that
someone’s gonna know where you live. If you feel strongly about not putting
your home address down, if you don’t have a brick-and-mortar store at least
have an email and a phone number that they can contact you. I’d also recommend
not making it super complicated for them to find your contact information. I promise you they’re not gonna spend the time to look. They’re just
gonna leave. Use /contact or /contact-us URL because that’s what
users are going to be searching for Another quick tip hyperlink your email
address. Don’t make them copy and paste your
email. They can click on it and it’ll work fine. Use mailto:[email protected] and it’ll automatically open up a new email window. If you’re looking for ways to increase conversions on your site, you might be
